“A democracy with people who are unaware of their democratic rights and duties, is only a namesake democracy.”

To encourage voter participation and awareness regarding the need to vote, public awareness campaigns prove to be an aid. They enable making important information ubiquitous, thereby reducing barriers of knowledge at the ballot box. A special assembly was conducted on 1 May 2019 as a public campaign for upholding this all inclusive value in the true spirit of democracy.
The assembly also acknowledged the perseverance and rights of the labours throughout the world by promoting the idea of “equal wages for equal work”, marking the celebration of two essential democratic provisions provided by the Constitution of India.
