July 26 marks the victory of the Indian Army over Pakistan in the mountains of Kargil in Jammu and Kashmir and the success of India’s ‘Operation Vijay’ in 1999.To commemorate the achievement of Kargil Vijay Diwas and to recall the martyrdom of Captain Vikaram Batra, students of Class VIII A presented a short act in the morning assembly on July 25. A speech acknowledging the efforts and gallantry of the Armed Forces, paying homage to them was delivered. The sensitivity and the enthusiasm with which the act was presented enthralled everyone! The thought of the day and the quiz buzz evoked fellow feeling and patriotism amongst students.
