To enliven the spirit of togetherness, self-dependence and build the confidence, the school organized an adventure trip to Uroli for class V and VI from March 23 – March 27, 2018. The five day sojourn proved to be an exploratory and a fun-filled tryst that provided unceasing excitement, remarkable diversity and educational opportunities for the students and teachers alike. The students stayed in tented accommodation at the camp and participated in activities, challenges, learning and informal fun sessions around the campus.
The teams took turns whirling around with WOW activities viz. Rock Climbing, Ropes Course, Back Packing, Wilderness Craft, etc. Challenges and tasks in and around the campus allowed participants to explore their potential in difficult situations where they were involved in problem-solving, planning, coordination, crisis management and goal setting. Apart from the exciting rendezvous with challenging activities, the students spent late evenings in cool recreational activities such as ‘explore the area’, ‘village visit’, ‘model making of the camp’, etc. The final day at the camp witnessed children participating exhilaratingly in fun-packed games such as helter-skelter and talent hunt.
Thus, the journey helped them unleash their hidden talents and nurture their potential. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, they were embraced by the serenity of the surroundings. The calmness of nature helped in bringing out the best in their personalities!
