“All genuine learning comes through experience.”

A group of six students from grades VII-IX participated in the prestigious ‘Project Paridhi’ organised by SPACE on 22 December, 2018 at Qutub Minar, New Delhi.

The enthralling hands-on science activity allowed the participants to measure the shadows cast by the Sun, and calculate the circumference of the Earth using trigonometric formula. The experiment held novelty as the Greek Astronomer Eratosthenes was the first person who measured the size of the Earth using the same method about 3000 years ago. The event also celebrated the Winter Solstice with grandeur through various other engaging activities.
