November 2 – 3, 2017

The students of G.D. Goenka Public School took part in Intra Model United Nations held from 2nd to 3rd November in the school. This provided a platform to more than 200 students from classes 7th to 11th to gather and share their ideas and thoughts, improve upon their debating and communication skills and tighten up their brains for some analytical and critical thinking. There were several committees in which students took part—All India Political Party Meet, United Nations General Assembly and United Nations Security Council. There were delegations from countries spread across all over the world making the “United” Nations simulation even more real. Each delegate was dressed up formally according to the prescribed dress code. A motion was given to each committee and the committee at the end of the two day journey had to come up to with a solution to the given crisis. This helped in generating a team feeling within the nations and to think of the world as painted white with no borders. An Executive Board with a total of 8 Chairs was invited to judge the event. The event ended with students winning golden trophies and certificates.
