“I can bring a smile on your face or a tear to your eye. I can fly you around the world
and to far distant places. I can show you how things are done, reveal secrets and
knowledge. For I am a book, an instrument of learning and awakening.”

It is said that a book is like a garden carried in the pocket but getting young kids to crack open books is often no walk in the park! With an aim to revive the lost tradition of reading books, to revoke the pure and eternal joy of it and to enhance the literary skills and inculcate good reading habits in students, the Middle School Block III-V organized ‘Readers’ Rhapsody- The Goenkan Literary Fest’ with high zeal and enthusiasm from 20-23 September 2022. From the thematically classrooms decorated to a plethora of activities planned for the week, everything smelled of books and beyond. The young buds shared the wonder and magic of books in their classrooms. To give wings to the Goenkans’ imagination, an array of literary activities namely ‘Book Swap’, ‘DEAR Time’, ‘Author’s Cap- Twist the Tale’, ‘Poem in My Pocket- self-composed poem writing and recitation’, Library Treasure Hunt’, ‘Comic Strip Designing’ ‘Open Board Dialogue Delivery’ and ‘Tongue Twisters’ were conducted in the classrooms and were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
