April 27 & 28, 2017
At G. D. Goenka it is believed that the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of both – parents and teachers. And keeping this in view an induction workshop was organized for the parents of students of Class VIII at the onset of the new sojourn of the academic session 2017-18 on April 27 and 28, 2017 in the School Hall.
As the students gear up to write another episode in their educational escapade some of the most important facets were shared with the parents. The nitty gritties of the new assessment pattern in accordance with CBSE guidelines, distribution of marks, periodic tests, term end exams and promotion criteria were discussed at length by Ms. Bhavneet and Ms. Supriti. Apart from this some other significant aspects and expected behavior from students at school were also discussed.
The interactive induction session culminated with the address by the school counselor, Dr. Bindu Kapoor who discussed certain crucial issues like cyber bullying and sudden behavioral changes in the adolescents. The enriching workshop hence provided a scope for the two way communication and long lasting association between parents and teachers.
