“The English Language is the accretion and growth of every dialect, race, and range of time, and is both the free and compacted composition of all.”

The school celebrated ‘VOICEWORKS-The English Week’ where linguistic skills polishing sessions with fun-filled activities were organized from April 26-30, 2021 at G.D. Goenka Public School, Rohini Sector-22. A great week and many learning-with-fun moments were there for the students of Grade III-V. An array of events was conducted with the motive to enhance the vocabulary, language skills and make learning more enjoyable. From books to stage, knowledge to expression, from reel to real, the event had it all.

The gaiety and excitement shown by the children by participating in their activities were the best reward for their teachers.

We kick-started the week by conducting various fun-filled activities like tongue twisters, riddles, jumbled sentences followed by an interesting quiz, based on children’s novels.

On day two, our little witty heads showcased their favourite items and described them eloquently with a twist. The students shared about their most cherished travel experiences to any famous tourist destination/ monument/ heritage site/ temple by showing and talking about anything related to that place like a souvenir, a photo (album), a travel brochure, or a guidebook.

On day three, the ‘Concoct a story’ activity allowed our students to wear their creative hats and knit beautiful stories based on the picture prompts displayed in front of them. Their cauldron of the mind was overflowing with creativity!
On day four, our little rhymesters learned to compose a poem. The students observed the given set of templates and wrote a short acrostic poem on the spot which they then narrate in the class.

Summing up, the panorama of interesting and knowledge-filled activities to facilitate the effective learning and participation of the maximum number of students, Inter-Class DIY Board Game making competition was organized on 30 April which witnessed an innovative and creative blend of so many young minds.
