G. D. Goenka Public School, Sector 22, Rohini is a venerated educational institution that has time and again nailed stimulating opportunities and translated them into magnanimous accolades adding numerous feathers to its cap. One of the most commendable achievement for the Goenkan Fraternity was to be ranked No. 1 in India for parameter- “Holistic Development” (Top CBSE Schools) in a survey conducted by Education Today.
The Goenkans have always steered hard and scaled new heights raising the bar of their performance every time they compete. They have carved a niche for themselves and made the school stand tall with their glorious achievements like a few mentioned here after. In a noteworthy feat a Class X student secured Third Position and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- in online ICAI Commerce Quiz 2020 and garnered much appreciation. This shows that the trying times of lockdown couldn’t restrain the flights of our young minds and they learnt the art of transforming this time into fruitful opportunity to explore new horizons just like bagging the title of “Certified Digital Marketing Consultant” by a gritty Goenkan. It was a proud moment for the school when the young enthusiasts of the School bagged Ranks 24, 26 and 45 among 20,000 participants in a competition conducted by Pixelmath. Keen learners of Mathematics secured 98% in North Region Abacus Olympiad and 96% in North Region Vedic Math Olympiad. Another exhilarating moment came with a Goenkan claiming First Position at National Talent Search Exam, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan conducted by CBSE. Two meticulous learners of French language secured 98% in State and National Level Exam to assess French Word Power.
A new pinnacle of success was achieved by another young achiever of the school as Bronze Medal was claimed in National Table Tennis Championship held at Indore. Rank 3 in India was secured and is a part of the National Table Tennis Team! Another milestone was reached with a Goenkan representing Delhi in the DDCA National Cricket Tournament. At the same time during SGFI School National Games (Cricket) two more sports enthusiasts represented Delhi in U-19 and U-17 categories. Securing Silver Medal in CBSE Central Zone Taekwondo Championship and qualifying for National Level Championship was yet another feat.
A moment of pride for the Goenkan fraternity came with securing Second Position in Solo Dance Junior Category conducted by Ramakrishna Sarada Mission. Achievement of Rank 4 in All India Sportography, an online Sports Painting Contest by Sports Gurukul added another reason to celebrate the indomitable spirit of nifty Goenkan fraternity. CIART conferred the title “National Child Artist” on a Goenkan and felicitated him with Gold Medal in State and National Level Drawing and Painting Contest.
A splurge of prizes and positions in a plethora of Inter School events boosted the high spirits of unrelenting Goenkan achievers as they didn’t allow any hurdle to come in their way to success. In the Inter School event, ZENITH, conducted by Bal Bharati Public School Goenkans bagged First Position in ‘Symphony’ as well as in ‘Dance of Physics’ and Third Position in ‘The Modern Victorian’. In the Jagruk Youth Parliament a Class X Goenkan was recognized and felicitated as “Eloquent Orator and Debater”. During S.T.E.M., organized by Ryan International School, First Position was claimed in Rhapsody: Rap Battle. Another team from the school was awarded Second Position in CATALYSM, a Sci-fi event. Apart from this, the Goenkans also bagged Second Position in ‘Dance Mania’ as well as in ‘Calculus Bee’. Second position was also secured in ‘Mathope’ in Class X category as well as XII category during ‘Infinity’, the Math Fest organized by GD Goenka Public School, Greater Noida.
School Team claimed First Position in ‘Exploratorium’ in Kaleidoscope, the Interschool event hosted by Gitarattan Jindal Public School. Third Prize was bagged in ‘Dance Tarana’ in Kaleidoscope organized by Indiripuram Public School. In Maxploratorium hosted by Maxfort School a team of two claimed First Position in ‘Battle of Wits’ while another team of two claimed Second Position in Hindi Debate. In Language Laureates organized by G.D. Goenka, East Delhi First Position was secured in ‘Lekhak ki Kahani’ in Hindi as well as in ‘Abhivyakti’ in Sanskrit. Yuletide Symphony organized by Queen’s Convent witnessed Goenkans claiming the Second Position in Interschool Singing Competition. Goenkan Literazzi by G.D. Goenka Public School, Sarita Vihar saw our stalwarts at Third Position in the event-Ballyhoo-Ingenious Branding and Tables Turn. Another victory in the row was securing the First Position in ‘Director’s Cut’, IT Competition held by Modern School, ECNCR. The school thus feels elated and proud to train the young minds and provide them wings to fly high.
