EXPLORING BEYOND THE CLASSROOMS
POCSO WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS
To enable the students to understand gender equality and the significance of POCSO Act in
this regard, a counselling session was conducted by the school counselor on 27 November
2019. Discussion and active participation of students wherein they shared their everyday life
experiences ensured that the learning process is accelerated. The importance of the role
played by educators and students in ensuring the rights and safety of children in a school is
fundamental in grooming them into responsible and self-aware citizens. Another POCSO
workshop was organized in the same regard by the School Counsellor on 23 November 2019
for the students to raise awareness regarding the need to develop mutual respect for each
other and for preserving the rights of students against any form of mental or physical abuse.
HCRA
The school supports philanthropic efforts of Handicapped Children Rehabilitation
Association and organizes a Diwali fete and Sale in collaboration with them every year.
HCRA puts up stalls with mesmerizing items for sale made by differently-abled children.
All the funds generated by the sale go for charity. This year too, our enthusiastic
Goenkans were left awestruck with the extraordinary talents and skill-sets showcased by
the children on October 20 and 21st.
