With the aim to evaluate and develop values like punctuality, perseverance, patience, creativity and sense of pride among learners, assessments are conducted periodically to assess the knowledge and skills considered essential for self-directed practice.

ASSESSMENT PATTERN

There are two terms in an academic session for each class:
TERM I – April to September
TERM II – October to March
A grading scale with different parameters is followed for assessment in scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

CLASSES PRE SCHOOL, PRE PRIMARY AND I

The juniors are introduced to informal assessment in the form of Fun Facts, Dictations and Class tests.

CLASS II

SCHOLASTIC AREAS
Each term comprises of two internal assessments, one weekly test, and a terminal examination per subject.

CO – SCHOLASTIC AREAS
a. Theatre
b. Art Education
c. Health and Physical Education
d. Computers
e. Reading
f. Music ( Indian and Western )
g. Dance ( Indian and Western )

CLASSES III- V

SCHOLASTIC AREAS
Each term comprises of two internal assessments, one weekly test, and a terminal examination per subject.

CO – SCHOLASTIC AREAS
a. Theatre
b. Art Education
c. Health and Physical Education
d. Music ( Indian and Western )
e. Dance ( Indian and Western )
f. Swimming
g. Reading
h. Handwriting
i. Hindi Oratory
j. Communication Skills
k. Astronomy

CLASSES VI-IX

SCHOLASTIC AREAS
Each term comprises of one unit test, continuous assessment and a terminal examination per subject.

Continuous Assessment:
Notebook Maintenance (CW/HW) : regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep will be taken into consideration

Subject Enrichment Activities
Languages : Speaking and Listening Skills
Science : Practical Lab Work
Mathematics : Math Lab Work
Social Science: Map Work and Project Work

CO- SCHOLASTIC AREAS
(a) Work Education – Work education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community
(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)
(d) Discipline (Classes VI-VIII): The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.

CLASSES X

SCHOLASTIC AREAS
First term comprises of one unit test, continuous assessment and a terminal examination per subject.

Continuous Assessment:

First term comprises of one weekly test, one unit test and a terminal examination per subject.
Second term comprises of two pre- boards followed by the examination conducted by CBSE.
